PHYSICAL MEDICINE SERVICES & TREATMENTS

Chronic pain affects an estimated 86 million adults. Our mission since 2003 has been to get our patients out of pain and prevent them from having to take unnecessary medication or undergoing unnecessary surgeries.

At Garden State Spine & Pain Institute our highly trained pain management specialists develop customized treatment plans specifically tailored each of our patients’ conditions. These treatments reduce, relieve, and manage our patients’ pain as quickly as possible so they can return to the everyday activities that they love.

CHIROPRACTIC CARE

Our chiropractic care professionals utilize the most advanced chiropractic techniques, and will work with you to help relieve your back pain, neck pain, headaches, and other related conditions originating from the spine. Spinal correction adjustments can even help prevent injuries and help you achieve total health and wellness.

Our chiropractors will review your medical history, listen and discuss your concerns, and perform a physical examination to check for the involvement of musculoskeletal structures. They will then provide natural, drugless and non-surgical treatments to adjust your spinal column, to re-align spinal subluxations and other joints through the use of their hands. Additional treatments such as heat or cold application may also be employed to cure aching and pain.

COMMON CONDITIONS WE SPECIALIZE IN TREATING:

  • Neck, back, and joint pain
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Numbness and/or tingling in the arms and legs
  • Sciatica
  • TMJ
  • Foot and ankle pain

JOINT & TRIGGER POINT INJECTIONS

Trigger point injections are injections of lidocaine/Marcaine used to reduce localized ant hill-like muscle spasms often found at the base of the neck, upper back, shoulder blades, and lower back.

Joint injections are typically injected into knees, shoulders, hips, and other joints, to help reduce inflammation and pain.

During the procedure, a medical practitioner inserts a small needle into the patient’s joint/trigger point. Injections only take a few minutes and several sites may be injected on the same visit.

COLD LASER THERAPY

Cold laser therapy uses low-intensity laser light to help relieve inflammation and pain. Contrary to popular belief, cold laser therapy does not actually use a “cold” laser. It’s called a “cold” laser because it does not cause a temperature change in the body’s tissues that are stimulated in this treatment. The laser penetrates into the skin to restore abnormal cellular function. Treatment is painless and non-invasive. There are no series of side effects when used properly.

HYALURONIC ACID INJECTIONS

Knee pain affects millions of Americans each year, preventing them for living their most fulfilling lives. When the protective cartilage in the joint wears down, Osteoarthritis will develop, causing extreme pain and discomfort. While Osteoarthritis can occur in any joint, it is most common in the knee.

Hyaluronic acid (HA) works to counteract the deterioration caused by osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis causes a reduction of cartilage and fluid in the knee joint. The HA solution helps to cushion and lubricate the knee to ease the pain and discomfort associated with osteoarthritis.
